The First Transfer

I hope everybody is having a wonderful week, and is staying safe, life here in France is wonderful, and this week especially, I got transferred out of my first ville into a new one! We got our calls on Friday, and our mission president told me I would be transferring out of my first ville, and its still bittersweet. I truly loved Narbonne, despite how small it was, and how little the church was (we took a train to church every Sunday in Beziers). I gave my farewell testimony in Sacrament on Sunday, and was so grateful for all the members there, I had been there for six months, longer than any other missionary had stayed there in a long time, and they all new me quite well, and it was hard to say goodbye, they all wished me good luck and told me they would pray for me.

So, today I took a train and have been transferred to a big ville called Aix-En-Provence, and I'm really excited! My companion is somebody I already know, his name is Elder Bake from Oregon, and we like each other, so I got lucky that way, and am super stoked to be here, it’s a much bigger ville, and is known in France for its universities, so there's lots and lots of students here, which is great, younger people tend to be more open to the gospel! There is a really big ward here, normally about 80-90 people at church every Sunday, which is great, it will be a very different experience from my tiny branch in Narbonne/Beziers. The members here are great with missionary work too, very willing to help and teach with us, so I am excited to start!
